Franklin`s in Wilkes-Barre

Really, really good food, friendly service (for me who is an out of towner) and wonderful atmosphere!

First time I eat here. The customer service is great. I enjoyed my time there. They are good at what they do. I had to grab a quick bite and I told the person who attended us. She was great at getting our meals quick and we'll prepared. I will definitely come back again.

Tried a burger here on their Thursday "burger night" and it was delicious. Went back the next night and had the "jamacian me crazy" flat bread and it was amazing as well!

A lot of folks coming and going but we were able to get the table we desired. Servers are attentive and items came out quickly. Near the theater if you are planning to see a show. Entrees and sandwiches were realistic prices. We we're happy with our dinner.

Friendly. Since the weather was nice, the door/gate was open. Makes it nice and airy throughout the interior. Large local beer selection

Great atmosphere, excellent bartenders, and good food. Inexpensive and you can smoke. So weird, but good!

If I am going out for the night, it's hard not to make Franklin's one of those stops. Probably one of the best local spots for going out and grabbing a few drinks. The giant central bar is perfect since you can look across and people watch, or see your friends if they happen to be out. In the warmer months when they open the giant garage door, the place is even better. I don't eat here much, but the food is definitely a step up from Bar food, but easily one my favorite spots for drinks.

We've been to this restaurant bar a few times. The food is excellent it sometimes attracts quite a large college crowd so it can be really busy and hard to get a table. We went once where it was pretty much just us there and it was probably one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in Wilkes-Barre. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to hang out on the Square. It's a little crowded during the school year, but over the summer it's one of my favorite places. Outdoor seating, decent beer selection and great food. Some of the best fried green tomatoes in the area, and the pimento cheese is spot on.

Ok bar but not diversified when come to music! Would not recommend spending your money if you want to listen to other type of music.Only set to accommodate one group of ppl 😒

Relaxed atmosphere. No bells and whistles, relaxed down to earth bar. Good to spend the evening with friends and get drunk. Close too early.

Great beers, awesome food , unfortunately they still allow smoking. The wait staff was some of the best! No matter who walked by, they asked how we were doing or if we needed anything else. I recommend the Jamaican Bob Sliders, some of the most tender pork I have ever eaten.

Service was excellent, food was perfect. Atmosphere was great. The Bartender who was also our server was nice as could be and had a great personality. Definitely going back.

Horrible quality. $50 for what is equivalent to a tv dinner and a canned tuna wrap. Literally (we suspect entry part of our meal was premade. Why else would they tell me medium rare is the best they can do. Ahi tuna is always better rare. Mine wasn't even medium rare it was nearly all white. No sear either, looked boiled The jack daniels chicken was a joke. Mashed potatoes were Bob Evans, vegetables literally looked like frozen birds eye mixed veggies, and the bbq was literally kc masterpieceWhat a joke. I just paid for a significantly higher quality meal for $20 less at a nearby local place

Not happy about being charged double... $82 taken out of my bank twice and my friend had $60 taken out twice. That's a lot of money to be without in my bank account. I'm not a college student, but I know that would hurt a lot for them. I go here often and really enjoy the atmosphere, food, and drinks. I don't trust it anymore. I have bills to pay.. and apparently this happens quite often to people.

Honestly it’s a good bar the only problem is the hours. The hours they state they’re open till is not accurate. It says 2 am but usually closes at 11pm. Be aware if you’re making plans

If anyone actually think this bar has good service, they’re out of their minds.Bar was crowded but not too crowded, and still had to wait 15 minutes for a beer. Seemed the bartenders targeted the people that were more wild and drunk. I was drinking with some friends and put $10 up to the bar for some shots and a beer. It took them so long to to get to me that they thought the money was just for a tip and took it when my other friends decided to leave. Stayed a bit longer and the entire staff decided to focus on cleaning up and closing the bar down, rather than focusing on the customers. Many other unpleasant experiences that take too long to explain.... WOULD’NT RECOMMEND

Was here recently for a benefit dinner/event. Very open and inviting atmosphere. Large bar, with great service. Pretty decent craft beer selection that encompassed the usual stuff along with some IPAs, porter, and seasonal choices.

**VERY** expensive, but worth every penny. Staff are friendly, and the portions are generous. Everything on the menu is delicious. But if you show up with a date, expect to spend $60-80 if you're drinking.

Good food, but I'm not used to a smoking restaurant/bar.

The food, the atmosphere, the music and the service were excellent. Everything was quick but not rushed. Staff was prompt and friendly. Pricing is moderate but considering the entire experience, well worth it. Plan to visit again.

Great food great servers great place you should go there

Came here before a show at the Kirby. We got here 2 hours early so we got at seat, it filled up quickly. Great selection of beer and an upgraded bar-food menu. Everything was good except my friend ordered the pork quesadilla and was really disappionted. 3 stars for that and because they didn't have enough servers on to handle crowd. Overall not bad.

BEST and DELICIOUS 😋cheese steak stromboli I ever had .. LOVE the the atmosphere for a Sunday night of the people and the (male)bartender who made sure our food was correctly.
